Info Timor has been providing ICT services in Timor Leste since 2006. It currently supports five Technology Learning Centres in Dili, Baucau, Suai, Liquica and Baguia.
Info Timor is managed as a not for profit social enterprise and is governed by a Board of Directors, all of whom are Timorese. Info Timor is an enterprise for Timorese managed by Timorese. Andrew Mahar AM who assisted in establishing Info Timor based on the Infoxchange Australia enterprise he founded in 1989, provides mentoring and support to Info Timor on a pro bono basis.
The Info Timor is a voluntary, not-for-profit and non-government organisation:
Voluntary – No part of the organisation’s income or property may be paid, transferred or distributed directly or indirectly, by way of dividend, bonus or other profit distribution, to any of the members or directors.
Not-for-profit – Info Timor’s income and property must be applied solely towards promoting the organisations’s purposes.
Non-government – A majority of the members of the organisation at all times must be persons who are not one or more of government, local government, a government department or a government authority, or an employee or officer of any of the above.
Governing body
Info Timor’s governing body is its board of directors. The powers and duties of the governing body are contained in the Constitution of Info Timor.

Governing body and operation management separation
Duties between the governing body, management and staff are separated through the following requirements:
Info Timor has over the past eight years focused it activities in the Districts of Timor Leste. Recently it has established a Head Office in Dili. This office will coordinate the growth of Technology Learning Centres in other Districts across the country.
Info Timor provides access to technology across Timor Leste. The services delivered include computer sales and support, internet access, computer hardware and certified training. In each of the Technology Learning Centres there is a computer training lab and a computer remanufacture and repair workshop.
Info Timor staff undertake a three month skills training program based on Australian ICT Certificates. Info Timor is a registered national non-government organisation and a registered training organisation in Timor Leste.
